Why We Created Mineral Mule: A Thoughtfully Crafted Blend of Copper, Tallow & Magnesium

Every product we make starts with a question.

That's exactly how Mineral Mule came to life.

Rather than building a lotion around a single "hero" ingredient, we wanted to create a formula that combined several carefully chosen ingredients that each contribute something unique. The result is Mineral Mule, a lotion featuring copper, tallow, and magnesium alongside other nourishing ingredients that support healthy-looking skin.

	Why Copper? Copper doesn't always get the attention it deserves. While collagen is often the focus in skincare conversations, copper plays an important supporting role in the body. It's involved in the process that helps collagen and elastin work together, making it an important nutrient for maintaining skin's strength and elasticity. Copper also contributes to normal pigmentation, which is one reason it caught our attention when developing this product. We chose to include copper because of the important role it plays in the body and its long-standing interest in skin health research.
	Why Tallow? If you've read our article about tallow, you'll know this traditional skincare ingredient has been used for generations. Tallow is naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, along with nourishing fatty acids that help support the skin's natural moisture barrier. We love tallow because it provides rich, lasting moisture while complementing the other ingredients in the formula. Rather than relying on heavy synthetic ingredients, tallow brings time-tested nourishment that leaves skin feeling soft and cared for.
	Why Magnesium? Magnesium is another ingredient that intrigued us. Many people are familiar with magnesium as a dietary mineral, but topical magnesium has also become increasingly popular among those looking to incorporate it into their daily wellness routines. We chose topical magnesium because it fits naturally within a lotion designed for everyday use. Many people appreciate topical magnesium as an alternative to oral supplements, especially those who experience digestive discomfort from certain forms of magnesium. It's also commonly used as part of post-exercise routines or evening self-care rituals.

We didn't want Mineral Mule to rely on one ingredient carrying all the weight.
